Mission Statement:
The goal of Herbst Briese Kennels is to produce top quality versatile gun dogs who are mentally stable, confident and reliable in both the field and the water, and also make great family companions. We accomplish this through the use of a selective breeding program, hunting, training and testing in NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association) and AKC (American Kennel Club) Hunt Tests.

Training Philosophy:
The training philosophy at the kennel is to bring out the full potential of your dog, whether you want a hunting buddy or a finished versatile gun dog. Through customizing the training program to fit the specific needs and capabilities of the individual dog, we believe that we will bring out the very best in your dog.

Breeding Program:
We produce only one or two litters of puppies a year. There are a number of benchmarks that our breeding females must attain before being bred. We use NAVHDA Utility testing for our proving ground. Qualification in the NAVHDA testing program is used to indicate mental stability, confidence and reliability. Hip x-rays are done to verifiy there is no indication of displasia, brucellosis testing is done before each breeding, to insure the safety of the breeding male, female and the puppies.
Our puppies are sold with tails and dew claws removed, first round of puppy shots, health guarantees, incentives to test in NAVHDA, registerable with the AKC and registered with NAVHDA.
